Organizational Context

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the measures to improve the safety and security of international shipping and to prevent pollution from ships. The Technical Cooperation Implementation Division focuses on supporting Member States in implementing IMO's regulatory framework.

Job Purpose

To provide expert consultancy services to support the Technical Cooperation and Implementation Division's objectives.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice and analysis on maritime technical cooperation matters; Support the development and implementation of projects; Contribute to the preparation of reports and documentation; Participate in relevant meetings and workshops.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the maritime sector, with a focus on technical cooperation or policy implementation. Experience working with international organizations or governments is desirable.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Proficiency in relevant software applications.
